Application Procedures
Step 1 : Applicants send the proposed trademark to us. We will get advice from the Intellectual Property Department to
see if the trademark is involved in any infringement act.
Step 2 : After the approval of the Intellectual Property Department, we will complete the remaining procedures for
application for the clients.
Step 3 : All proposed trademarks will be published in the Hong Kong Intellectual Property Journal for 4 months. If no
objection is raised by the public, the trademark will be valid and being issued a certification.
Step 4 : The approved trademark has 10 years term. After 10 years, one should apply again for extending the exclusive
use.
